Background

In 2023 I retrained as a web designer. My first real project was a website for a friend who was about to give up after her third attempt with a website builder. The site was online within a week, and she has never had to mention it to me since. That is exactly how it should be: you only notice your website when an enquiry comes in.

Since then I build websites for freelancers, small businesses and personal brands. With a process so clear that a site is finished in one week. After that I stay on it: hosting, backups, changes. You always talk to me.

How I work

I build every site myself, with a fixed process: drafting copy from your answers, preparing images, building, checking. That is why a site is finished in one week with me instead of three months. Not because I type faster, but because I leave fewer decisions open.

You fill in one questionnaire. After that you don’t write copy, don’t pick fonts and don’t choose between three layouts. That’s my job. Your job is to tell me what you do and for whom, and at the end, what should still change.

I take on no more than two new projects a month. Not because I can afford to turn clients away, but because I look after every site permanently afterwards, and that only works if I don’t have more clients than I know.

Why a monthly fee

A website isn’t finished when it goes online. From then on opening hours, prices and pictures change. From then on updates, certificates and backups run. From then on a form can stop sending emails, and nobody notices for three weeks. The monthly fee pays for exactly that part: someone keeping an eye on it and your changes getting made without you logging in.

For me it’s the more important part too. I don’t earn on the build, I earn on your site running for a long time and you staying. So I have a real interest in it working, every month, not just at handover.

What I don’t do at a fixed price

Online shops, web applications, member areas, logo design, ongoing SEO, Google Ads, social media: I build and manage those too, but as a separate quote by effort, not within the packages. The packages are deliberately lean so they stay predictable. What sits outside the packages is on the pricing page.

Where I’m based

In Cologne. My clients are spread across the German-speaking countries and beyond. The process is the same whether you’re in Ehrenfeld or Hamburg: a call by phone or video, a questionnaire, a preview link.
